With pregnancy comes significant physiological changes, perhaps changing moods, expectations, fears and excitement. Your body knows what to do. Massage, reflexology and yoga can be such a fantastic support during pregnancy, relieving stress and also alleviating and preventing discomfort through your pregnancy journey.
Pregnant clients find pregnancy massage not only deeply relaxing but they also feel great relief from lower back and hip pain, pelvic girdle pain (previously known as SJD), neck and shoulder pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, leg cramps and water retention.
Pregnancy & Postnatal Reflexology
Reflexology can help with typical symptoms during pregnancy including lower back pain, pelvic girdle pain (previously known as SPD), constipation, nausea, insomnia, anxiety and oedema.
Postnatally, reflexology can hugely assist the healing and recovery process of labour.
Recent studies have shown that regular reflexology throughout pregnancy significantly reduced both the time in the first stage of labour and the pain throughout it (1). A second study showed that reflexology improved the quality of sleep in post natal women (2).

Pregnancy & Postnatal Yoga
Pregnancy and giving birth are physically very demanding. The body needs to be strong and healthy. The spine changes shape and the body has to balance differently, placing more pressure into the lower back and pelvis.
Yoga is an incredible support to pregnant and postnatal mamas during periods of fluctuating hormone levels and the changing shape of the body. Yoga will enable reconnection to body and breath, calming the nervous system and bringing about a sense of ease.
Yoga can help relieve pain, discomfort, anxiety, depression that could accompany pregnancy and postpartum.
My pregnancy and postnatal yoga classes support mamas in developing and maintaining muscular strength and tone, helping to alleviate discomfort and encourage physical movement. Poses are tailored to various needs during different stages of pregnancy. Sessions are tailored for your needs at the time, from relaxation and restorative to more energetic and strengthening.
Classes are designed to help mamas connect emotionally, physically, and spiritually with themselves and use those connections to help prepare them for pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.
