Location

The Inner Guidance Retreat Centre is situated 1.3 miles from Lavenham in Suffolk.  Located approximately 1hr 45mins drive from London or 1hr 30mins by train from London Liverpool Street to Sudbury (Suffolk), it is the perfect getaway from London.

The Grounds

The beautiful 500 year old venue sits on a hill covering 3 acres and has commanding views across the area. We are located within 500 acres of the local farmers land, about 1.3 miles outside of Lavenham with a footpath at the edge of the land taking you into this picturesque, medieval village.The retreat takes place within a 16th Century Grade 2 Listed house.

There is a tennis court, outdoor hot tub and a meadow with commanding views across unspoilt countryside.  There is an outdoor meditation area and labyrinth.  Massage therapies will be available in the yurt.

Accommodation is of 5-star quality.

Yoga Studio

The Studio is incredibly light and spacious.  The studio is also available between yoga sessions for silent mediation time to yourself.  Equipped with all the yoga mats, blocks, straps, blankets and cushions one would need.

Meals

We will eat together in the beautiful Tudor dining room.  All meals are plant-based, nutritious and lovingly created by in-house chef, Dominic de Rosa.

Help yourself to a huge selection of teas and coffee and chill, read or chat in the cosy lounge.

You will feel nourished and energised throughout the weekend.

 

Activities

Yoga

You will have time to explore your own yoga practice with highly experienced yoga teachers.  We will start the day with a more dynamic practice and closing with a slow, restorative practice in the evening.     

Guided Meditation

Daily morning and evening guided meditation, incorporating mindfulness and mantra-based practices.

Women's Circle

Embracing age-old wisdom traditions that allow for women to gather, connect, and learn from one another, there will be opportunities for women to share and inspire each other. Through deep listening and dialogue, we will spend the weekend exploring ways to keep nurturing light at home and in our communities.

Cacao Ceremony

Experience ceremony with an exquisite raw cacao drink made with 100% ceremonial grade Guatamalan cacao.

Gong Bath

Bathe in healing sound delivered by Gong Master Dom.

Massage

Unwind with a massage with the centre's onsite Massage Therapist (more details type of massage to follow).

Time & Space

There will be plenty of time to rest, read, wander or meditate in the labyrinth and gardens, nap, have a massage, dip into the outdoor hot tub, connect with others and reconnect with Self.

You will have a roommate (you can request a double or twin set up) with an option of ensuite or shared bathroom (one bathroom per two rooms).

Ensuite - £375 per person

Shared Bathroom (shared between two rooms) - £355 per person

*Included in rate: all yoga and meditation practice, all meals, snacks & teas. All accommodation includes linens, bath towels.  Prices are based on 2 people sharing a room.

Not included: transport to and from retreat venue, massage treatments.

About Rashmi

Dr. Rashmi received her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2004.

Majoring in comparative medical anthropology at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York, Dr. Rashmi spent her senior year studying traditional healing modalities in southern India. Her awareness was awakened as she immersed herself into Ayurveda, India's own sacred science of living, in addition to meditation, yoga, and energy therapy.

Dr Rashmi is a certified yoga teacher and is completing a 500-hr advanced teacher training with Yoga Medicine by Tiffany Cruikshank. She is completing professional training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) through Oasis Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts.

Drawing upon her 15+ years of personal experience and training in mind:body modalities, lifestyle medicine, and community health, Dr. Rashmi leads group classes, one-to-one consultations, and workshops on mindfulness and healthy living in medical, educational, and business settings.

Dr. Rashmi's mission is to help individuals and communities rediscover their inner nature, redefine their relationships with the world around them, and harness the power within themselves to be healthy, well, and resilient.

About Deepa

Deepa is a Level 3 Certified 300hr Forrest Yoga Teacher, an Advanced Clinical and Remedial Massage Therapist, Aromatherapist and Reflexologist.  She is currently completing a 500hr advanced teacher training with Tiffany Cruikshank of Yoga Medicine.

As well as working privately, Deepa has worked for the NHS as a complementary therapist in oncology care.
Deepa has worked with a range of people from all walks of life: new mums, people with cancer and terminal illness, people who have suffered physical and emotional trauma. She has trained with leading practitioners and trainers in their fields including the JING Institute of Advanced Clinical Massage, Tony Porter (Advanced Reflexology Techniques), Mauricio Kruchik (Maternity & Pregnancy Reflexology) and Ana Forrest, the founder of Forrest Yoga. Deepa's experience and ongoing training has helped to develop an intuitive sense for locating restrictions in the body where, often, there is an emotional aspect attached.

Her sessions focus on improving body awareness and creating more space and freedom in the body.

In November 2016, Deepa assisted a 200hr Foundation Yoga Teacher Training. In early 2017 and 2018, Deepa completed a 10-day Vipassana meditation course.  Having experienced the benefits of yoga and meditation, Deepa wishes to continue her work towards empowering individuals through their own practice.
